In 1988 area residents and college associates formed the not-for-profit Madison Hall Association, Inc. They adopted the mission to preserve the Hall from destruction, to restore it to useful life, and to operate the building as a recreational and cultural resource for the general public. The highlight of the building is the upstairs ballroom(former courtroom). Restoration efforts continue and depend upon fund raising activities and private donation. Most of the first floor is renovated. Two adjoining rooms are elegantly carpeted and often used for bridal party preparations. They also serve small group meetings well. The office and space for Crystal Kay's dancers have had floors redone and new paint. Our last project was the rennovation of the restrooms. The men's room is done but work on the ladies' room was delayed at the start of the pandemic. Event booking did not resume until the second half of 2021. We had all the windows cleaned as we reopened for events and some additional painting has been done.
